Drammen Product Design
Vivid Nine’s Norwegian presence is based in Drammen. Our office in Drammen is a half-hour train journey from Norway’s capital city, Oslo. Previously an industrial city, with most of its industry based around the port and engineering. Today, Drammen is now a more modern city, with various cultural events happening throughout the year.
The blend of culture and industry is the perfect location for our Norwegian product design studio. Drammen has a mix of tech and engineering companies, as well as a selection of modern architecture and engineering projects. The city’s Ypsilon pedestrian bridge shows a great blend of art and engineering. Drammen also boasts one of the ‘top ten tunnels’ in the world with the Spiralen tunnel. The tunnel rises 70m in a helix exiting 180m above the town on Skansen Ridge.

Design and engineering to see in Drammen and Norway
Drammens Museum is a good destination to see a selection of Norwegian product design history. The museum has a selection of products and items from various periods of history. Two permanent exhibitions of interest include the 20th century! Objects for modern life and Scandinavian design exhibitions. These are both perfect examples of product design for everyday life. Also visiting the Objects for Life exhibition, you’ll see a range of earlier products, showing how product design and aesthetics have transitioned over time.
